Disclaimer
Please read this before relying on anything in CycleIQ. It is part of our Terms of Service.
1. Information, not investment advice
CycleIQ is a general publication for information only. Nothing in it is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any security, or advice tailored to your circumstances. Jugaad Analytics, Inc. is not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer or financial planner and is not your fiduciary. It offers no tax, legal or accounting advice. Before you invest, consider your own objectives and situation, and consult a qualified professional if you need advice.
2. What a reading means
A phase, Direction, Evidence score or Price alignment describes a company's reported results compared with its own history. It is not a forecast of the company's results or its share price, and it carries no view on whether a stock is fairly valued.
3. Data limitations
Readings are built from SEC filings, which arrive 40 to 90 days after a quarter ends, so they describe the business as of its latest report, not today. Filings can contain errors and later restatements. Because each company is measured against its own history, past quarters are recalculated as new filings arrive; each monthly update is saved as published. Market prices and other data come from third-party providers and may be delayed, adjusted or incomplete. Institutional holdings come from Form 13F, which is filed up to 45 days after a quarter ends and shows only certain long positions.
4. Test results and hypothetical performance
The results on our “Does it work?” page come from a replay of historical data, scoring each past quarter with only the information available at the time. They are hypothetical. They don't reflect actual trading by anyone, and they leave out transaction costs, taxes, dividends and, for short positions, borrowing costs. They describe groups of companies, not any single company. Past performance is no guarantee of future results.
5. Investing involves risk
All investing involves risk, including the loss of the money you invest. Options and short selling carry additional risks, including losses greater than the amount invested. Readings can be wrong, and a phase can change sooner than usual.
6. Our own investments
Jugaad Analytics, Inc. and the people who work on CycleIQ may own securities of companies that CycleIQ covers. Every company is scored by the same published rules; no company's reading is chosen or adjusted by hand.
7. Third parties
Company names, tickers and trademarks belong to their owners and are used only to identify them. Mention of any company or other service is not an endorsement.
