Getting started

Ten minutes to go from signed in to watching the right companies.
Your first ten minutes
In order. Each step takes a minute or two.
STEP 1
Look up something you own
Type its ticker in the search box at the top of any page. Or open Company and search there.
STEP 2
Read the phase, then the reasons behind it
The phase sits at the top. Under Why this phase are the metrics actually driving the reading, strongest first. A metric that isn't listed didn't move enough this quarter to be one.
STEP 3
Build a watchlist of five to ten names
Companies you own or follow. Turn on alerts from Watchlist and we'll email you when one changes phase or files new results.
STEP 4
Scan this month's turns
Open Monthly Update and read Just entered Recovery and Just entered Topping. These are the companies whose read changed since last month.
STEP 5
Learn to read a company page
How to read the chart walks through the signal line, its own average, the phase shading and the zoom slider, with every feature numbered. Two minutes, and every page afterwards reads faster.

One thing worth knowing early
A phase is not a buy or sell signal. It describes a company's reported results against its own history. Share prices depend on much more, including valuation and expectations. Most subscribers use the phase to decide which companies deserve a closer look.
